Work With Me #1: Studying, Tidying and Lists

Hello everybody!

Welcome back to my blog. So, unless you've been living under a rock, I'm sure you guys know what's going on in the world right now. Corona virus has impacted people worldwide and I am no exception. Where I live, school has been cancelled until further notice, and we are on lockdown. I might do another blog post soon about the situation for me personally, what to do in quarantine etc. but today, I wanted to get a lot done so I thought I would take you guys along with me. I haven't actually seen a blog-version of a day-in-the-life so we'll see how this turns out. This is just something to keep me occupied and maybe take your minds off of the current global situation. Hope you enjoy it xxx.

Disclaimer: I haven't taken pictures of the food I ate- just the work I did.

First things first, I had breakfast: cheerios WITHOUT milk! Yup. I hate the texture of cereal with milk, and since I'm quite a picky eater when it comes to breakfast food, I only eat cheerios. If you want to have a productive day, NEVER SKIP BREAKFAST!! Personally, I cannot go a day without breakfast without being a total mess, but I know lots of people skip it. So, if you want to get into a the grind, eat your breakfast kids.

Then, I made a to-do list. I wrote down in my academic journal everything academic that I wanted to get done in the day and I followed what lessons I would have had that day. I colour-code my to-do lists: if it's highlighted yellow it means that it must be done, orange it means it should be done but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't and green it means it would be done in an ideal world.

After I spent way too much time on my TDL (haha) I got started with Literature. I annotated 2 poems that we covered in class using my notes and I tried adding personal response things to it as well (gotta get those marks where I can).

Once I finished that, I started self-teaching myself how to measure rates of reaction for chemistry. I used notes from online and in my textbook and condensed them into my own notes. I only did a little bit, because then I had to go do the laundry and eat my lunch.

(I don't own my own house btw- doing the laundry is part of my chores.)

After lunch, I continued with chemistry and managed to get the sub topic done with notes. If I'm being totally honest, it was low-key kinda fun haha. Yes, this is what my life has come to. Yes, I am this sad. :(

Once I finished, I realised what a state my desk was in (see for yourselves). I'm generally quite a messy person and I'm not very good at picking up after myself, but this was just ridiculous lol. So I decided to clean my desk and also organised my notes at the same time.

AFTER:

After my desk was as clean as it was going to get, I did my workout. There's a YouTube channel called MadFit and the lady who owns it does workouts to songs- which is honestly such a great idea! They're really motivating and fun to do, and I highly recommend doing them if you're looking for a fun way to get fit during the lockdown. Today I did the songs: Old Town Road, Senorita, 7 Rings, You Need to Calm Down, Circles, Panini and Mother's Daughter.

Then I showered and started writing this blog post up until here (aloha).

I did some biology afterwards and started writing notes up about gas exchange.

After that I decided to give myself the rest of the day off. I'm doing e-learning tomorrow (I'll definitely do a blog post about my current situation and how I'm doing) and that's pretty intense so I might as well give myself a bit of a break now, right? Or is that just me trying to make myself feel better? Haha. Either way, I feel like today has been a prettyy productive day. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this blog post, and please comment more post ideas!

Stay safe,

Alisha xx
