Advice Post #1: Dealing with Stress

Image
Hi everyone! Welcome back to my blog. As you read from the title, I am going to try to give you all some advice on how to handle stress. Please also remember that I am not clinically diagnosed with a mental illness as my symptoms are very mild compared to other people's and they don't call for professional help. I stress out very frequently but I can keep it under control by myself, and I'm going to be talking about how. If you feel that your symptoms are severe, there is no shame in seeing a professional about it as your mental health is just as important as your physical health.  Stress is something that affects all of us, no matter the person or circumstance. Like so many other people, I tend to stress out a lot and for things that aren't worth stressing over. I'm an overthinker with a very vivid imagination. This means that, if I s

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my blog. I took a day off this week because I was meeting up with my friend and I had worked pretty hard in the days before. But, I knew that I needed to get back on the grind the next day and I also knew that I needed a blog post, so I decided to document my day. While I was eating, I put on an episode of Teen Wolf (I'm obsessed) and watched it.  8.40-9.00: Checked socials After breakfast, I switch

The country I live in is still enforcing strict lockdown rules- meaning my summer is not going to be the same. No late-night trips with friends. No family lunches. Even doing some of the most normalised summer activities, such as going to the cinema, are now threats to our health. In this post, I'm going to be talking about how I'm feeling about this situation and what I'm doing about it.  I am a British expat living in the Middle East (stay tuned for another blog post about my personal situation and what it's like). Every summer, I go back to the UK for two and a half months and spend my summer there. To me, it's not a holiday, it's going home. Even though I have been living here for ten years (and I'm almost fifteen), the UK has something that the Middle East lacks for me: extended family. The other day, I was feeling quite
